The library recently purchased a Keurig Coffee Brewer. Cost will be $1 per K-Cup or free if you bring your own. The library will supply cups, creamer and sugar. Come on in and sip your favorite flavor while reading the newspaper or browsing in the stacks.
The used bookstore has moved. It is now on the upper level of the library. Many new items were added. Check it out!
The new library director started Monday November 17th. His name is Andrew Kelton. Stop by and say hello.
The Library’s Book Discussion Group is looking for new members. The group reads a wide variety of fiction and tries to include titles by Minnesota authors. The group meets the first Thursday of the month at 4:00 pm for an informal discussion and to share recommendation for other reading. The group will resume meeting in January. January’s meeting will by the second Thursday (8th) at 4:00 pm due to the New Year’s Holiday.
February was “Food for Fines Month” at the library. Past and present fines owed to the library could be “paid for” with a contribution to the Sleepy Eye Area Food Shelf. For each food item brought into the library, $1 in fines was removed from a card holder’s record. Thirty-nine food items were contributed in exchange for $24.05 in library fines
